First some tools will be needed:
1. Alcohol 120%
2. UltraISO
3. Windows XP/2000 (not tested on 95/98/me)
3. Small piece of cotton
4. Dry cleaner paper
5. Finally, oil for cooking.
First step - preparing the CD
Get the cotton and drop some water, start cleaning vertically the surface of CD.
Do it 3 times and dry the water with a piece of dry cleaner paper. With a new piece
of cotton, drop some oil for cooking and start to wet the surface like you are
washing the CD with the oil. Dry carefully now. Some particles of oil will stay on the
microsurface of the scrath. It's okay. Seems the oil helps the laser of the CD/DVD driver
to read the surface again. Sure this will work with small unreadable scratchs - some hard
scratchs loose parts of the surface of the CD where we have data and it's lost forever.
But if it is loosed try anyway. Whith this tip 80% of the small scratched CD's coud be
recovered.
Second Step - testing the CD
With Alcohol 120% make an ISO - image making wizard - and lets see if the app can
read the loosed surface. In my case Alcohol 120% had recovered 60% of the data.
This is not enough. Have tryed other appz, they do not recover all the data. But the
CD/DVD driver laser CAN recover all data in this case. the data is still there, what we do?

Search For Hidden Or System Files In Windows XP
The Search companion in Windows XP searches for hidden and system files differently than in earlier versions of Windows. This guide describes how to search for hidden or system files in Windows XP.
Search for Hidden or System Files By default, the Search companion does not search for hidden or system files. Because of this, you may be unable to find files, even though they exist on the drive.
To search for hidden or system files in Windows XP:
Click Start, click Search, click All files and folders, and then click More advanced options.
Click to select the Search system folders and Search hidden files and folders check boxes.
NOTE: You do not need to configure your computer to show hidden files in the Folder Options dialog box in Windows Explorer to find files with either the hidden or system attributes, but you need to configure your computer not to hide protected operating system files to find files with both the hidden and system attributes. Search Companion shares the Hide protected operating system files option (which hides files with both the system and hidden attributes) with the Folder Options dialog box Windows Explorer.

computer diary
it was only a matter of time until someone create a software that would function as a virtual diary. I do know many people that keep a diary and all of them are using the usual notebook to write their daily entries. Another method for the virtual generation would be to use a software like iDaily Diary to keep a diary on your computer. Software diaries have some advantages over notebooks.
The main advantage that I can think of is that it is easier to protect the software diary with passwords, this can’t be done with a notebook. You could hide the notebook but if someone finds it the information are all there. Another advantage is that it is easier to add pictures and links to the software diary although you could as well ad stuff like this to the notebook too which would probably grow to big if you add lots of pictures and paper to it.
Using iDaily Diary is pretty easy. You set a password at first start and may read the tutorial that is presented afterwards. The interface looks similar to Word, the main difference is a calendar that is added at the bottom of the page. You can easily switch to entries using that calendar.
Writing entries is done like in any other text processing application. You can format text, use pictures, tables and links and all the other benefits that word processing programs offer. Diary pages can be exported to html if desired, this could be useful if you want to publish them on your personal website

How to Hide the drives(c:,d:,e:,...etc) in Ur Comp
This is a great trick you can play on your friends. To disable the display of local or networked drives when you click My Computer.
1.Go to start->run.Type regedit.Now go to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
Now in the right pane
create a new DWORD item and name it NoDrives (it is case sensitive).
Now modify it's value and set it to 3FFFFFF (Hexadecimal) .
Now restart your computer.
So, now when you click on My Computer, no drives will be shown(all gone...).
To enable display of drives in My Computer, simply delete this DWORD item that you created.Again restart your computer. You can now see all the drives again. Magic........lol.

SPEED UP UR ACROBAT READER (ALMOST LIKE NOTEPAD)
Do u get irritated when acrobat reader takes 5/10 seconds to load when you want to open a pdf document. There is a way to speed up the loading.
1. Go to the installation folder of acrobat reader
(C:\program files\adobe\acrobat\reader\.. whatever)
2. Move all the files and folders from the "plugins" directory to the "Optional" directory. (I repeat.. cut and paste the files NOT copy & paste).
Also make sure that acrobat reader is not open else it will lock the files and not allow you to move the files).
Now your acrobat reader will load very fast
and almost as good as notepad..

All u shud know about Window Key
The Windows key or Windows logo key (in short WinKey, or rarely Flag key, Start key or Menu Key) which was originally introduced for the Windows 95 operating system , located in the bottom row of most computer keyboards is a little-used treasure. Don't' ignore it. It is the shortcut anchor for the lot of things.
Windows: Display the Start menu
Windows + D: Minimize or restore all windows
Windows + E: Display Windows Explorer
Windows + F: Display Search for files
Windows + Ctrl + F: Display Search for computer
Windows + F1: Display Help and Support Center
Windows + R: Display Run dialog box
Windows + break: Display System Properties dialog box
Windows + shift + M: Undo minimize all windows
Windows + L: Lock the workstation
Windows + U: Open Utility Manager
Windows + Q: Quick switching of users (Powertoys only)
Windows + Q: Hold Windows Key, then tap Q to scroll thru the different users on your PC.
Other than this it can also perform the following functions
Under Unix and Unix-like operating systems it is often used as the Meta key or Compose key. Desktop environments such as KDE and GNOME for GNU/Linux support it, though it may be necessary to configure its functionalities after installation. Free operating systems often refer to the key as "Super".
Apple's Mac OS X uses the Windows key as a replacement for the Command key if a third-party keyboard is used that does not include the latter. This sometimes leads to placement issues for users used to Apple keyboards however, as the Command key is usually placed where the Alt key is on most keyboards (next to the Space bar).
When using a keyboard on the Xbox 360 console, pressing the Windows key performs the same action as the Guide button on the Xbox 360 controller or remote controls, opening the Xbox Guide in game play. Additionally, holding down the Windows key and pressing M opens a pop up conversation window over game play if an Instant Message conversation is in progress.

Speed Up Starting Of CD/DVD Burning Software
Whenever you Burn your data onto a CD/DVD, you might have noticed that it takes time to open the software. Either you use Nero or Roxio or any other software, it takes time to open. You can speed this process by making some changes in the services. Some of the services used by this software are not required and can be stopped. This will make the process much faster. Lets see how.
1. Go to Start –> Control Panel –> Administrative Tools –> Services.
2. Select IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service and Disable the Startup Type.
3. Click OK and Exit.
You will now see the difference. This makes the service much faster then your previous experience. However, if you are using the Windows inbuilt burning service, then you might not see this service, and if you do then disabling this won’t have any effect.

super fast user switching
super fast user switching
(EXPERIENCED USERS ONLY)
Super fast user switching is a powertoy which makes it easy to switch the active user. But you must be a member of the administrator group to see other users! Quite useless for normal users, but this is done on purpose. I contacted Lou, the programmer of fast.exe, and he said (quote):
"It actually has to do with permissions. As a regular user, you don't have access to the (InteractiveLogon) service. This is because I didn't want to open another hole in Windows. This is unavoidable."
The solution opens a hole, but makes super fast user switching usable. THIS IS ONLY FOR EXPERIENCED USERS!
1. remove task.exe from the local_machine ~ windows ~ run registry entry (you can use start --> run --> msconfig for that)
2. create a fast.cmd file wich contains the line below:
runas /noprofile /env /savecred /user:YOURMACHINE\Administrator "c:\windows\system32\fast.exe"
replace YOURMACHINE by your machine name
3. copy fast.cmd to your windows directory
4. make a shortcut to c:\windows\fast.cmd, let the shortcut run minimized
5. copy the shortcut to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup
You have to run fast.cmd manually one time for each user to supply the administrator password. This has to be done only once.
This solution won't work for XP home edition because that edition won't store the security credentials.
For your information: the user process fast.exe will communicate with the service task.exe to perform it's task. Meddling with the fast -service properties won't work (I tried...).
Don't do this on production systems, it's meant for home use where security is less important.
Happy user switching!

Permanent Acceleration Fix
Permanent Acceleration Fix
It seems that even without pointer precision disabled, the mouse under XP is still influenced by an acceleration curve. This is especially noticeable in games. To completely remove mouse acceleration from XP, you will need to go into the registry and adjust the SmoothmouseXYCurve values. Here is how its done.
1. Click Start button
2. Select Run
3. Type 'regedit' in the open textbox
4. Open the tree 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER', select control panel, then select mouse
5. Right clicking, modify the SmoothMouseXCurve and SmoothMouseYCurve hexidecimal values to the following:
SmoothMouseXCurve:
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00
00,a0,00,00,00,00,00,00
00,40,01,00,00,00,00,00
00,80,02,00,00,00,00,00
00,00,05,00,00,00,00,00
SmoothMouseYCurve:
00,00,00,00,00,00,00,00
66,a6,02,00,00,00,00,00
cd,4c,05,00,00,00,00,00
a0,99,0a,00,00,00,00,00

If done correctly, you will notice you are holding a markedly more responsive mouse.

Create a shortcut to switch users
Create a shortcut to switch users
Fast user switching has been a very useful feature of Windows for multi-user computers. Dating back to Windows XP, fast user switching allows multiple users to be logged into a computer at once. This is very useful if a user is in the middle of work but another needs to use the computer shortly. Fast user switching will allow the other user to log in while still retaining the other users session. Once the other user is finished the session can be switched back to the original user.
Creating a shortcut to switch the active user is as easy as creating a shortcut to c:\windows\system32\tsdiscon.exe
1. Right click where you want the shortcut to be created and select New and then Shortcut.
2. Copy and paste “c:\windows\system32\tsdiscon.exe” into the location box and hit Next.
3. Give it a name and hit Finish.

How To Do a Repair Install of XP
How To Do a Repair Install of XP
* Make sure the BIOS is set to boot from the CD (put the CD above the HD in the boot order)
* Insert the XP CD and boot to it
* When you see " To setup Windows XP now, press ENTER", go ahead and press ENTER
* You will now see an option to repair Windows by pressing "R". Do not select this option - it will only take you to the Recovery Console which is not what we want to do. Instead, choose to continue the installation
* When you see the license agreement, press F8 to agree
* On the next screen make sure your current XP installation is selected and then press "R" to repair XP
* At this point XP will begin to install on top of itself, replacing damaged, missing or altered system files. Follow the instructions on the remaining screens to complete the Repair Install. It will look very much like a normal (new) OS installation.
If all goes well your repaired XP installation will remain iintact, keeping your personalized settings and installed programs as they originally were. Remember, choose the second repair option, not the first.

Removing Startup Items located in the registry
Removing Startup Items located in the registry
The System Configuration Utility displays items that start with your PC. These items are generally located in one of two areas. The registry or in Common Startup.
Should you decide to prevent specific items from starting up you can uncheck them in the System Configuration Utility. Though this method is fine it is ultimately best to remove them from the source. To access the common registry locations of these items take a look in the following areas:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce
If you have disabled items in the System Configuration Utility and would like to remove them from the registry also they can be found in one of the following locations:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SharedTools\MSConfig\startupfolder
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shared Tools\MSConfig\startupreg
Note: Always make a backup of the Registry prior to making changes. {for advance users}

Windows 7 includes many new way to manage your windows such as window snapping and cool tricks like Aero Shake. One secret that few users know about are the new keyboard shortcuts that are a big help for any power user. The following keyboard shortcuts provide another way to use the new window management features in Windows 7.
1) Windows key + up will maximize a window to fill the screen
2) Windows key + down arrow on a maximized window will restore it to the original size.
3) Windows key + down will minimize any regular window to the task bar.
4) Windows key + M will minimize any window to the task bar.
5) Windows key + right or left arrow snap a window to half of the screen. This is the same as dragging a window to far left or right side of the screen.
6) Windows key + home will minimize all open windows in the background except the top most active window. This is the same as shaking the window (Aero Shake).
7) Windows key + T will iterate through your task bar thumbnails of open applications.
8) Windows key + D will minimize all windows.
9) Windows key + Space bar will let you peek at the desktop.
10) If you have multiple monitors, Windows key + shift + right arrow will move the active window to your next monitor. Windows key + shift + left arrow will revert it back.
11) Good old Flip 3D is still there. Use Windows key + Tab to bring it up. While holding the Windows key hit tab to iterate through the windows. Hold down Windows key + shift and then hit tab to reverse the direction.

Associate an icon with a drive
To set the icon of any drive (hard disk, cd rom or anything else) with a letter (C:\ etc.), run REGEDIT (Start -> Run -> regedit)
Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer
If one doesn't already exist, create a new KEY called "DriveIcons". Under this key, create a new key with the letter of your drive.
I.e. C for your C:\ drive.
To change the icon for that drive, create a key inside that one called DefaultIcon and set the path of (Default) to the location of your icon
eg C\DefaultIcon\
then (Default) = D:\Documents\C Drive Icon.ico
To change the name of that drive, create a key in the drive letter one (eg C\) called DefaultLabel and set the (Default) to what you want the drive to be called.
This is useful if you want to assign a long name to the floppy drive.

Change Log On Screen Colors
Change Log On Screen Colors
Microsoft includes three default "shell styles" with the Windows XP Luna theme: Homestead, Metallic, and NormalColor.
You can see these three styles in the "Welcome to Windows" and "Log On to Windows" screens during logon.
To change the style, open regedit and go to: HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\ThemeManager
Change the "ColorName" key value to either "Homestead" or "Metallic". "Homestead" will show the title bars in an olive color. "Metallic" will show them in a silver color.
Log off or reboot to see the change.
Note: this will only work on the original Ctrl+Alt+Del log on screen, not the new Welcome screen.

Removing TRIAL TIME LIMIT of softwares!!
Removing TRIAL TIME LIMIT of softwares!!
We all know that the trial version of any software is functional for only the given time period after which we have to buy the license key.
Even on removing/uninstalling the software and then again installing, it shows time limit expired.
Why this happens??
Usually the software leaves some entries in the windows registry which it can use later on to identify if it was installed before or not. You can clean them easily. Just do this.
Open registry editor and click Edit->Find to open the Find window. Type the exact name of the software in it first and tick mark all the three check boxes before starting search. Once it locates anything with that name in the registry, you can delete the value.. or if the key looks suspicious then you can delete the key too.. keep pressing F3 and it will keep on searching the registry till it reaches the end point where it will notify you. but be careful not to delete any system keys otherwise your windows may malfunction.
Secondly, once again close all the registry tree by pressing left arrow key after highlighting any key of the registry and take it back to My Computer and once again open the Find window. now type something else related to that software...for example the company's name...or brand name...or something like that... and keep doing it till all the keys and values related to that particular software are gone.
Lastly, type the exact folder path of that folder in which the software was installed in the find box after collapsing the registry tree and only check the "Data" checkbox and search the entire registry. Values having matching data entries will surely be related to that software so you can delete them and if the key is suspicious then the key as well.

With windows Vista you have noticed the slow internet speed. The web browsing and downloading speed is very slow as compare to previous versions of windows. You can open the same sites in windows XP and server 2003 with the normal speed which is working slow in vista
Follow the given steps to increase the Vista browsing speed:
First go to Advance tab in Internet Explorer settings and turn off the TLS (Transport Layer Security) encryption option. Here to fix problem with some secure pages turn on the SSL 2.0 (Secure Sockets Layer) feature and click Ok button to close it.
Follow the major fix for this problem:
In windows Vista, the TCP autotuning feature is enabled by default. Some web servers do not respond properly to this feature, so it appears that some sites open with very slow speed.
To use this feature, you will need to be logged into your computer with administrative rights.
First click on Start button and type CMD in Run option then press Enter.
At Command Prompt, type the following command and press enter.
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= disabled
This command will disable the TCP autotuning feature. Now close the command Prompt and restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.
You can easily restore these setting by typing the following command at Command Prompt.
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel= normal
Now close the command Prompt and again restart your computer after any changes to go into effect.

Correcting System Hang at Startup
If your system hangs about 2 or 3 minutes at startup, where you can't access the Start button or the Taskbar, it may be due to one specific service (Background Intelligent Transfer) running in the background. Microsoft put out a patch for this but it didn't work for me. Here's what you do:
1. Click on Start/Run, type 'msconfig', then click 'OK'.
2. Go to the 'Services' tab, find the 'Background Intelligent Transfer' service, disable it, apply the changes & reboot.
This problem with the Background Intelligent Transfer Service should have been corrected in Windows update Q 314862, part of Service Pack 1.

This is usefull for those who often use elevators !
When we press the floor no. button on the panel lift start moving. But if someone on the next floor calls the lift the lift stop for them, this could be very irritating in rush hours !
Now, if you Press the Floor No. Button and the Close Door Button both at same time then the elevator would not stop for any one in the way and will stop directly on the destination floor !
** Note in some elevator systems this trick might not work !

Changing ANY user password without having to know
Changing ANY user password without having to know the existing password
This tweak gives a user the opportunity to use it for good or bad. It enables the user to re-password any account without having to know the existing password and also shows you every account that exists on the machine (even the ones that are hidden). This is a good tool to use if you forgot a password to say your administrator account and you needed to be logged into the admin account for any reason.
To view all of the user accounts:
1) While logged onto the computer, click on Start>Run>and type in CMD.
2) From the command prompt window, type in net users. This will show you every account that is made onto the computer whether it is hidden or not.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
To change an account password:
1) While logged onto the computer to an account that has administrative rights, click on Start>Run>and type in CMD.
2) Type in net user then the name of the account then * and press enter. heres an example: net user administrator * or net user "Joe Smith" * . Put the name in quotes if it contains spaces.
3) From there it should ask for a new password. Type in your new password (type very carefully - the command window won't display what you type) and once more to confirm it. If you get the message that the command succeeded successfully you're all set!!

displaying windows password
ophcrack windows nt password recovery
Ophcrack is a tool that is able to quickly display Windows NT account passwords using Rainbow Tables instead of brute forcing the passwords. While it could take years to bruteforce a password that uses letters, numbers and special chars it takes only minutes to do so with Ophcrack.
Ophcrack can be downloaded with several different table sets. The default live cd is able to reveal passwords with alphanumeric chars only. If no passwords are revealed using this method you should download different table sets which support other chars as well.
Two additional table sets can be downloaded from the Ophcrack website. The first is 720 megabytes and should only be used on machines with at least 500 megabytes of ram. A smaller one with only 388 megabytes can be downloaded for machines with less than that amount of ram.
A new version of Ophcrack was released just four days ago. (Ophcrack 1.1.4)

iP Spoofing
Spoofing is a trick played on servers to fool the target computer into thinking that it is receiving data from a source other than you. This in turn basically means to send data to a remote host so that it believes that the data is coming from a computer whose IP address is something other than yours. Let's take an example to make it clear:
Let your IP Address be: 203.45.98.01 (REAL)
Let the IP Address of the Victim computer be: 202.14.12.1 (VICTIM)
Let the IP Address of the system you want data to be sent from: 173.23.45.89 (FAKE)
Normally sitting on the computer whose IP is REAL, the datagrams you send to VICTIM will appear to have come from REAL. Now consider a situation in which you want to send data packets to VICTIM and make him believe that they came from a computer whose IP is FAKE i.e.173.23.45.89. This is when you perform IP Spoofing.

Increasing Band-Width By 20%
Microsoft reserves 20% of your available bandwidth for their own purposes like Windows Updates and interrogating your PC etc
To get it back:
Click Start then Run and type "gpedit.msc" without quotes. This opens the group policy editor. Then go to:
Local Computer Policy then Computer Configuration then Administrative Templates then Network then QOS Packet Scheduler and then to Limit Reservable Bandwidth. Double click on Limit Reservable bandwidth. It will say it is not configured, but the truth is under the 'Explain' tab i.e."By default, the Packet Scheduler limits the system to 20 percent of the bandwidth of a connection, but you can use this setting to override the default."
So the trick is to ENABLE reservable bandwidth, then set it to ZERO. This will allow the system to reserve nothing, rather than the default 20%.It works on Win 2000 as well.

Locking the desktop
If you are leaving your computer for a while and do not wish to turn it off, but want to assure that no-one else can use the computer while you are away, locking the desktop is the best option.
By pressing WINDOWSKEY+L, you password protect your system just as if you had logged out or restarted the computer. The advantage is that any programs or processes that were running when you locked the desktop will stay open and running in the background, ready for you to resume work or play.

Click Start, click Programs, and then click Command Prompt.
In Windows XP, click Start, click Run, type cmd and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type CONVERT [driveletter]: /FS:NTFS.
Convert.exe will attempt to convert the partition to NTFS.
NOTE: Although the chance of corruption or data loss during the conversion from FAT to NTFS is minimal, it is best to perform a full backup of the data on the drive that it is to be converted prior to executing the convert command. It is also recommended to verify the integrity of the backup before proceeding, as well as to run RDISK and update the emergency repair disk (ERD).

Remove the Username and picture from Windows XP New Start Menu
The User account picture can be removed by turning off the Welcome Screen. Or, by switching to Windows Classic theme. Follow the method described in this article if you want to remove the username and picture from the Start Menu, without disabling the Welcome Screen and Windows XP Theme.
For those who want to remove the user name and user account picture from Start Menu, in order to have a blank blue panel at the top, try this:
Start Windows Explorer and go to this folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures
From that folder, rename the BMP file which corresponds to your user account.
( For example, if your username is Robert, rename Robert.bmp to old_Robert.bmp )
Next, rename the following folder:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures
to something else, say...
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\No_Default Pictures
To remove the user name, follow these steps
Start regedit.exe and navigate to the this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft\ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Policies \ Explorer
In the right-pane, set NoUserNameInStartMenu value-data to 1
Close Regedit.exe and restart Windows.
You'll end up with a blue space at the top of the Start Menu.
To get back the username and the picture, reverse the above procedure.
For the New Start Menu, Windows XP looks for the.bmp file in the folder
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures
If the file is not found, it takes a picture from the "Default Pictures" sub-folder. By renaming the.bmp and the "Default Pictures" folder, you're giving no chance for Windows to fetch an image for the Start Menu

How to hide files in a jpg(or any other type of picture extension)
Set up:
1. Must have a .zip or .rar compressor.
2. Willingness to learn.
Steps:
1. Save the picture of choice to your desktop.
2. Make a new .rar or .zip folder on your desktop.
3. Add the files you want to hide into the .zip or .rar
4. Click start menu, run, cmd.
5. In Command Prompt type cd "desktop" with the quotation marks.
6. Now type in copy /b "filename.jpg" + foldername.rar outputfilename.jpg
( If you use .zip then: copy /b filename.jpg + foldername.zip outputfilename.jpg)
7. Now there should be the outputed file name with a .jpg extension(or what ever file you hidden files in) on the desktop.
( Do not close Command Prompt just yet )
8. Double click it to open the file and check it out.
9. When your done looking, and want to view the hidden files
Type: ren outputfilename.jpg outputfilename.rar or zip
Now you're done!
A quick info-fact:
With this technique of hiding files in a picture you can send this to anyone and they just have to rename the file extension to .zip or .rar.
With this technique the Al-Qaeda operatives were able to send info to others secretively.
PS:the size of the picture will increase as much as the added rar/zip
PS:If this was helpful please reply to this thread and/or vote
PS:this probably works not just with pictures but with all files

Running Multiple Instances of GTALK
Users of Google Talk (GTalk) can also let GTalk go to polygamy, that’s running multiple instances of Google Talk and login to multiple Google accounts on Google Talk. The polygamy trick can be done without any crack, patch or hack, with just a simple command line parameter or switch /nomutex appended to the Google Talk shortcut.
Ability to polygamy running multiple Google Talk is useful if users have multiple Google Talk accounts (or Google or Gmail accounts that used to login to GTalk) or multiple profiles or personalities, and don’t want to log on and off from one account to another account every time when want to switch, or want to log in to all accounts at the same time on the same computer.
You can add the /nomutex switch or parameter to existing Google Talk shortcut, or create a new shortcut with the /nomutex command line parameter.
To edit existing Google Talk shortcut:
1) Right click on the Google Talk shortcut.
2) On the right click contextual menu, click on Properties.
3) Go to Shortcut tab on Google Talk Properties window.
4) On the Target textbox, add in the /nomutex to the end of the line so that it looks like below (or you can simply copy and paste the below syntax and replace the original).
Target: "C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe" /nomutex
5) Click on OK.
To create a new shortcut for Google Talk:
1) Right-click on the desktop or anywhere you want to place the GTalk shortcut.
2) Select New on the right click context menu.
3) Then select Shortcut.
4) Copy and paste the following line to the text box when prompted to type the location of the item:
“C:\Program Files\Google\Google Talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex
5) Click on Next.
6) Give the shortcut a proper name such as Google Talk or Google Talk Multiple or Google Talk Polygamy.
7) Click OK until you are done.
If you have hex editor, you can act like a hacker and modify the bits in Google Talk program so that it will always allow multiple instances of GTalk to be launched whether the /nomutex switch is specified or not.
Launch hex editor and open googletalk.exe, then search for the following patterns in the hex editor:
004536FD . 3BC6 CMP EAX,ESI
004536FF . 75 05 JNZ SHORT googleta.00453706
Modify the string to look like the following:
004536FD . 8BC1 MOV EAX,ECX
004536FF . EB 05 JMP SHORT googleta.00453706
How this Works?
The mutex is short for mutual exclusion object.
A mutex is a program object that allows multiple program threads to share the same resource, but not simultaneously.
So, in the hack above, we used nomutex (no-mutex) to use the same resources simultaneously....!

ZIP OF DEATH
This is a exploit of the compression algorithms to make a small zip that will extract into extream amounts their are more ways and better ones than this one but i will only show how to make a simple 1k = 1m ratio.
1) Make a.txt file
2) Open and type the null character (alt + 255)
3) Press ctrl + a then ctrl + v a couple times to make some null bytes
4) If u have a hexeditor make the hex 00 for about 50 kilobytes.
5) Now make several copies of a.txt and name accordinly
6) Open cmd.exe
7) Type copy /b *.txt b.txt
8) Now every copy is made into a super copy and repeat
9) Once you have a nice empty big text file like 1gb. Put it in a zip archive.
Because of the simple construction of the file, 1gb of null bytes.....!
The zip is only 1 mb in size and can really annoy freinds.
For added fun hex edit the zip and you will see a bunch of hex 5555
Just add some more and the file will expand amazingly
Make sure to not open this after
You can always create your zip of death from the command line in linux
dd if=/dev/zero bs=1000 count=1000000 | gzip > test.gz
